Hello Kitty – Washing Machine

OK, this one beats me.  I understand that the totally cute Miss Kitty appears on anything a young person would purchase, but why in the world would Miss Kitty appear on a WASHING MACHINE?  Is this to encourage teens to do laundry?

Just try to imagine being the house wife (or house husband!) That has to stare at this demonic kitty when doing the laundry.  I pray this items never makes it way into a culture that is also allowed to carry handguns.
